  2. I made these this weekend and they are so good. We opted for no spice this round, thinking we would add spice next time, but they are so good with just the honey water that I can’t imagine changing a thing. We used the leftover soaking water as our apple sauce and apple butter liquid. It was a perfect repurpose. Thank you for a great recipe.

    • Sounds great, Becky! I still have lots of apples, and might also dry some without spices, so they will work with anything I want to use them with this winter. For plain snacks, though, I like them spiced.

  11. I never peel my apples before dehydrating. I think they taste great – and the bonus is the added nutrition. Love your idea of the honey water. Think I might try it with maple syrup also. Thanks for the good ideas.

  12. Do you need to store these in the freezer? I would like to make these, but I am looking for dry storage in mason jars.
